Sonic Fandom Hate [Edit 3]

I've changed the title of the stamp. Also I realize this is an older stamp of mine, I will not be altering any of the points I've made but some of the ideas behind anything I'd said in this have either changed completely or been improved upon. I get sick of hearing it,
"The Sonic Fandom sucks"
"I hate the Sonic Fandom and the games, the fans ruined it for me."
You sound like a bunch of whiny brats, I’m sorry. While
I understand the Sonic Fandom is NOT the best fandom out there, is it really mature to just constantly throw hate out at it just because there are a good select number of immature or new fans?
Its a kids video games, KIDS are going to be around the fandom.
There are also a good select mature, sweet, and kind individuals in the Sonic Fandom, who have fun with what they draw, and dont care for your hate.

"Sonic Style isn't your art style, its a bad art style because its drawn too much."

I understand Sonic Style isn't my art style actually, but every Sonic artist DOES have their own way of drawing the style, so it can be considered "your" sonic style in terms of the way you draw it, but not in terms of originality.
And I draw so much more than Sonic Style, I actually began art with my own original style, I just became a Sonic Fan along the way, SOME artists are taking the time to learn they're own style, and half the time, drawing Sonic Style is a HOBBY, not meant to be taken seriously.
Also, you cant say something is a bad art style because "its drawn too much" obviously, if its drawn so much, people like it. If you think its an ugly art style, okay that's your opinion, but I need a better excuse than "its drawn too much."


"All Sonic Fans are retards."

I’ve seen this so many times, first of all the term "retards" is not only rude but highly offensive to a lot of people. It is not a term to be used in such a way.
And no, not ALL Sonic Fans are idiots, I can give you a good select amount of Sonic Fans who have the education of a straight A college student.
Like I said before, there are KIDS who like Sonic, not just on deviantart but all over the internet.
Its like screaming at a 4 year old girl for liking Barbie, and creates her own "Barbie World" and you scream at her because her logic is all out of whack.
I'm sorry, but isn't Sonic a VIDEO GAME character? And video games are fun right? So, if I decide to write a fan fiction, or make a comic FOR FUN, I deserve to be screamed at like im some clueless idiot who will cause the end of the world because I wrote a few fictional words on a screen? d:

"Sonic Characters are all Mary Sues, Gary Stus, and recolors."

Again, not ALL.
Ive seen some really good Sonic Characters out there, and they are completely original, and I have to say a lot of them are beautiful.
If someone can tell me an accurate definition of a Mary Sue they can get a cookie.
"Mary Sues are all loved and perfect!"
"Mary Sues always have a horrible history and sad story!"
"Mary Sues are too normal." (I'm not kidding Ive heard **seen** this once.)

I hate this Mary Sue hunt thing going around. Heck, Ive been scared to create my own character because I think some hunter is going to come trolling on my art about how shes a Mary Sue because I paired her with a fictional character.
First of all, I know a Mary Sue when I see one, but I dont go around screaming it out everywhere, I may give some tips to help develop the character, but that's it.
No rage.
No cussing.
Just some nice simple help.

I SHOULD NOT be scared to draw two fictional characters together in a drawing because some fans, or haters are going to start screaming about how my character is a Mary Sue. Because two drawn fictional animals TOTALLY cant be together because it totally "ruins" the series and game for someone across the world to be different in their own way amirite?
(If you didn't catch that sarcasm, I dont know what to say.)

Then Recolours.

Look. Just report. And get on with you life, stop acting like it'll be the death of you if a 1o year old turns Sonic green.

You know its art theft. JUST REMOVE IT. I'm not for recolors AT ALL but come on, a majority of the time its a kid or a troll. Not to mention Ive seen recolors in nearly every fandom, so dont just throw it all on the Sonic Fandom.

"The games suck."

Okay that's your opinion.
In my point of view, no one really cares. Sure reviewers pay attention to every little detail of a game and give it a critique.

But Ive heard kids at my school say Sonic O6 was the best Sonic game ever.
They liked the storyline, the challenge, the voice acting, and just the game in general was cool.
They dont care for all the extra which is what some of us fail to understand.
If you think the games suck, okay then that's you, but not everyone cares about every little detail about a Sonic Game that makes it bad, we just like Sonic and what he gives us. And we are pleased. That is why he has so many fans in the first place.

"The fans are dramatic attention hogs, and fight too much."

Sure, there are fans who are those things.
But every fandom has one of those. Not JUST the Sonic Fandom.
Sure, we fight a lot, but I like debate, and there are a lot of Sonic Fans who I can debate with maturely and I enjoy it. What I DO NOT tolerate is when you scream at someone because your opinion is different then theirs.
Honestly, I think saying that all Sonic Fans are loud noobs is a bit of an exaggeration because in all honesty, in my 9 to 1o months drawing Sonic Art, Ive only run into 1 loud noob here, it was on a writing, and she was 1o years old and not allowed to be here anyways.

Maybe its because I stay to my sane side I dont know.
I think the Sonic Fandom is actually the best place to be if you like to have little debates over opinions and get other points of views.
Its fun, and what you guys call "fighting" I call a friendly chat over opinions ^^

I mean there are maybe so many other reasons, but these are the main ones.
Id love to hear opinions or thoughts, if you comment respectfully I will do the same to you.

When you see my avatar and me commenting, or ANY Sonic Fan for that matter, talk to them like they have some common sense before you start trolling, because then you look like an idiot when that person actually turns out to be smarter than you expected.

Every Fandom has that luv. Heck even My Little Pony and Sesame Street do, YES Sesame Street does. Again, its not ONLY the Sonic Fandom with this issue.
I hate porn, mainly because Im too young to even really care in the first place.
But I dont run into it because of the mature content filters and everything the internet filters, so its not like its just popping in front of your face randomly
If you clicked it, then you were interested and took a looksie, dont act like it was forced onto you when you were the one who searched or looked for it anyways.
